Steps to Turn On Offline Access for Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
You aren't connected to the Internet but still want to work on Google Docs files?
Then follow below steps to create, edit or view Google Docs, Sheets and Slides files while you're offline.
- Connect to the internet.
- Open or Install Google Chrome browser.
- Install Google Docs Offline Chrome extension. (Click Here to Open Install Page)
- Open Google Drive
- Click on Settings
- Check the box next to "Create, open, and edit your recent Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files on this device while offline.
- Done
Now you can click on File menu of any Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
file and click Make available offline to use that file offline.
Alternatively, you can right click on files in Google Drive and then click
on Available offline.
